missing my kiddos

i just got off my daily phone chat w/ the kiddos. i had my second chat for the day (i love having mobile to mobile minutes). they just called me up to tell me jokes and to sing to me. hearing from london and chase is just plain cute. even holland's shrieks warms my heart. they're growing up so fast! i haven't seen them since early october. i miss them unbelievably so much-it hurts. i think it may be better if i don't talk to them every day because it makes me miss them even more. :P sometimes i just want to take off to LA to see them. unfortunately, i have obligations this week so i can't. :( hopefully i will be able to see them soon but that may not be for another 3 weeks. luckily, they are just a 5 hour drive away.

this is one of my fave pics:
chase is asking me if i want a fork, grandma is looking at chase, london is holding the chandelier, holland is looking at mommy, grandpa is holding london from falling, and my sis is the only one really smiling at the camera. funny.

From: my sister
Subject: Star Wars
To: me
London taught Holland to say Yoda.
London was saying "Yoooooo-daaaaa" over and over and
finally Holland said, "Yoh".

o man! i think i need to start giving my nieces girlie movies.
:P

talking to strangers

do you ever find yourself talking to strangers in grocery stores or other places? i love it. it's funny how conversations just start. the most recent one i had was lining-up to get the fresh-baked french bread from safeway. an older lady asked me "does it make it home?". ha ha! later on, i bumped into her at the check-out line. she saw me looking at the satsuma oranges and told me they were sweet but they were on sale last week for cheaper. :P another convo i had was at ross and i learned a lot about cookie sheets from another lady. fun stuff.

nope, not so addicted

so i've seen 9 episodes of my lovely sam soon. after reaching its dramatic peak in episodes 7, 8, & 9, my fave wb show is still a LOT better! the k-soap has gotten so pitiful and has a really messy storyline i can't stand watching it. it's not the usual love triangle it's even more pitiful! i just want to hurry-up and finish it to see what happens. there are 6 more episodes. i hope it redeems itself and goes back to hilarity of episodes 2-6. sigh. comedy is the key.

k-soap krajee

there has been an increasing number of friends (female, of course) that have begun to watch korean soap operas. i never watched them before because of the language barrier and i can't stand soaps. 3 weeks ago, i got sucked into watching a k-soap called my 19-year old sister in law.
i gave it a try because:
1. i could practice my mandarin chinese
2. i wanted to see wat all the hype is all about.
3. i was bored.
after watching this series, the addiction didn't settle in. i was very relieved.

fast forward to this weekend...the k-soap queen, gets a present of 3 english subtitled k-soaps from one of her subjects. the queen granted me free viewing privileges. i was honored and watched 4 episodes in a row. 3 were of a soap called my lovely sam-soon and one episode of all-time fave, full house. can we say k-soap overdose? yes, we know that all the plots of k-soaps are the same. full house was ok BUT i am finding myself drawn to my lovely sam-soon. nooooo! it's TOO late to save me from it.
these are the reason why i enjoy s-s (my lovely sam-soon):
1. the female main character is a pastry chef! i already learned a new way of frosting a cake!
2. the male main character is so cool in his reactions, you have to wait to see his real response.
3. the interactions between the main characters are hilarious and makes u want to watch more.
4. the female character has no shame, is feisty, and a bit dorky.

the first two episodes of s-s were hilariously funny and had us cracking-up like no tomorrow. the third was a disappointer b/c it was building up the story. i hope that the series keeps its comedic theme and feisty dialogue. now, i will admit...i am so addicted! eeks.

it IS magic!

today, i saw a commercial for the magic eraser and remembered i had it sitting in my bathroom drawer. i haven't used it in a year. i took it out and started scrubbing the bathtub with it. it IS magic! it took off grime comet or tilex couldn't take off! i AM amazed. it even removed soap scum from my shower doors! yes, i'm easily amused by the removal of soap scum and grime. it also removed my moping earlier this morning set by my advisor. :P everyone should go buy it and be amazed! also, try the magic eraser duo, it's prolly easier to scrub with.*

*this is NOT a paid advertisement. :P

grr...

just had a mtg w/ my advisor. gots to start half-way over on the website. grr!
