k-soap krajee
there has been an increasing number of friends (female, of course) that have begun to watch korean soap operas. i never watched them before because of the language barrier and i can't stand soaps. 3 weeks ago, i got sucked into watching a k-soap called my 19-year old sister in law.
i gave it a try because:
1. i could practice my mandarin chinese
2. i wanted to see wat all the hype is all about.
3. i was bored.
after watching this series, the addiction didn't settle in. i was very relieved.
fast forward to this weekend...the k-soap queen, gets a present of 3 english subtitled k-soaps from one of her subjects. the queen granted me free viewing privileges. i was honored and watched 4 episodes in a row. 3 were of a soap called my lovely sam-soon and one episode of all-time fave, full house. can we say k-soap overdose? yes, we know that all the plots of k-soaps are the same. full house was ok BUT i am finding myself drawn to my lovely sam-soon. nooooo! it's TOO late to save me from it.
these are the reason why i enjoy s-s (my lovely sam-soon):
1. the female main character is a pastry chef! i already learned a new way of frosting a cake!
2. the male main character is so cool in his reactions, you have to wait to see his real response.
3. the interactions between the main characters are hilarious and makes u want to watch more.
4. the female character has no shame, is feisty, and a bit dorky.
the first two episodes of s-s were hilariously funny and had us cracking-up like no tomorrow. the third was a disappointer b/c it was building up the story. i hope that the series keeps its comedic theme and feisty dialogue. now, i will admit...i am so addicted! eeks.
