the Survival Diet (SD)

for thanksgiving, a friend's friend came to visit. when I first saw her i was astonished! she had lost 45 pounds since when i saw her back in march. i was so amazed at her transformation. right away I asked her how she did it. she deemed it the Survival Diet and she didn’t exercise! what entails the SD? low or no oil, sugar, salt, white flour, no beef or dark meet, etc…basically what we all know what we should not be eating but do anyways. she had major willpower and her theory was to eat to survive. The first month was the hardest for her. what did she eat? for breakfast she ate this yogurt called Light & Fit and ate whole wheat bread from Trader Joe’s. i thought, that can’t be bad. i asked her how it tasted. she replied with “nasty”. ok, that killed my excitement. i thought, hm…maybe i can ease my way into the SD and be good in not eating junk food. then, i can be healthier and combat the diseases that come with aging. this past monday, it began with breakfast and consciously trying to avoid all the “bad stuff”. let’s say, today is the last day i will ever be eating that yogurt again and i killed the no junk food with eating one brownie, half a cookie, half a piece of pumpkin bread, agar agar dessert, and a piece of chocolate within 4 days.
back to the drawing board…i will have to modify my SD.
