i'm finally back from LA. the drive took 9 hours (details to be explained below). i'm exhausted and i'm going into another frenzy of activities this weekend. my long time friend is visting from nyc! i am gonna go pick her up later tonite. i just hope i don't pass out from another hour of driving. i need rest...

9 hours? my dad wanted to be adventurous so we took 118 east (new LA Avenue(?)) thru these farm fields and ended-up in ventura -> hopped onto the 101 -> then we went thru san luis obispo to hop onto the 1-> 156 -> back onto 101 (had to stop in gilroy for some shopping. heh heh.)-> 85 -> 280. finally home! why did it take so long? the 1 was really foggy, rainy, had stinking slow tourists, and trailers. BUT the sun actually came out and it was beautiful. the weather paralleled with my mood as i was reflecting this year and thinking about other things... the sun made it all better and i know He had some thing to do with it.:)

i took a bajillion pictures in LA and driving up. hopefully i'll have them all up when i'm not as brain dead.

3 more days to make this year memorable!

the eve

twas the night before christmas the kiddos were sweet. the terror surprisingly cute but a bit naughty. when auntie arrived a flurry of activities began...


a 5 minute hiking adventure with london stopping to pick the flowers and rocks every minute.


the kiddos amused their auntie by taking cute pictures with her.


then came the craft time of painting aprons and making a gingerbread house. "mmm! i want to eat this!" says chase drooling.
"can i lick the frosting off the knife?" says london every other minute.


the terror astonishgly sweet and gets into everything, which you shall see...


"this is my favorite place!" thinks holland (the terror) as she climbs into the cabinet and lays in it.


"am i cute or what?" thinks holland with an innocent demeanor. she also thinks "i AM little and i can do anything i want!" "mamamamadadada!" holland actually can say.

alas, it is the end of the day where we all go...
