my dear friend jenny-o

is coming! she's one of my best friends from high school and we were roomies in college! we were really the "odd couple". she's blonde and almost 6 ft. tall and you know me, the short asian gal. she'll be here the 1st weekend of june! i can't wait to see her to reminisce the past and have more fond memories!

today, i took advantage of "the sky can't decide if it should rain" weather and hit "the dish". as ppls jogged passed me, it made me self-concious. i had to double check my back-self for the jello jiggle. so sad. i admire those who have it and can run "the dish".

is finally coming to MN! i always thought my fave grocery store should open-up in the midwest. it FINALLY is! hm, mebbe MN is actually ready for a more "diverse" grocery store (sad to think of when compared to CA). although, i think TJ's would be much more popular in edina, MN which has a ritzy shopping area. who knows? mebbe things have changed and where tj's is opening up is the place to be at in MN!

man, MN seems like a totally different lifetime for me. i would never leave CA! ok, well unless the big guy up there wanted me to.

i LOVE TJ's! if they were a public company, i'd buy tons of their stock!

DC, off-the-beaten track

i'm headed to DC for 3 days in july for an *O.F.* reunion! what is "O.F." aka. Original Friends? i have no idea how we deemed ourselves this name in college. basically, it's my college gang, from the last few years of my wild life in MN. HA HAH! ok, i know how we got the name "O.F" but it's so lame i am not even gonna explain it. :P it's a bit of a complicated story as well. anyhooooo, i'm pretty excited b/c i haven't seen a lot of these friends in 1-2 years. it's gonna be a zombie-like weekend for me. i live the furthest away and get to take the lovely red-eye and arrive all chipper and fresh at 8am in DC.

does anyone have any suggestions of must-sees in DC? besides the "i'm in 8th grade & let's visit DC" trip? i'm looking for good eats and fun things to do off-the-beaten track!

sigh, it's only april. 3 more months is the countdown! can you believe this will be my first "real" vacation this year? :O
