discovered i had to go into the dmv to renew my license and take a test! ACK. good thing i checked before my license actually expired. at least i get to take a new picture. hm, which one will be uglier?

reality check
a few of my friends from school and i went to mercado to watch fahrenheit 9/11. in the middle of the movie, my friend said she was super hungry. she left and came back crying. we were shocked and hurried out of the theater. we found out that she was assaulted in the theater hallway (in the screening area). this guy was waiting in the hall and asked her if she had her ticket but he wasn't an employee. she said yeah and went to go get food. she came back into the theater and he was still there. he asked her a few questions. she said she had to go back to the movie. he ended up pushing her against the wall and tried to kiss her. luckily, my friend was smart and pushed him away. she grabbed his shirt as he exited the theater. an employee was there and called security. my friend decided to press charges, thank goodness. the most irking part is that he was laughing as he was running away. el creepo.

a few points to keep in mind:
1. you're not safe anywhere! especially if you are a nice-looking female.
2. be careful in those long/dark hallways of the big theaters, in the screening area.
3. if something happens to you, try to get the person caught somehow. i'm glad my friend had quick thinking.

btw: fahrenheit 9/11 was interesting but it was hard to sit through. it was hard trying not to fall asleep. i am amazed at how moore got all the coverage on bush. no idea how it ended though due to the unfortunate incident.

here's a little story i have to share titled:
mother pimpin'
by daughter

one day, mother comes home from work. she says "i saw this guy who was dropping off his parents at the airport. it's really nice to see a son help his parents". daughter agrees in compliance hoping that was the end of the story. mother says "i found out he's a ph.d. student at stanford studying EE." daughter starts thinking here we go...but mother ends the story. phew thinks the daughter.

the next day, daughter wakes up. mother approaches and says "here's the guy's phone number and email address. you want to contact him?" daughter exclaims "WHAT? like i'm going to contact him. hello! i don't even know this guy and neither do you!" an hour later, daughter hears mother speaking chinese to someone. mother runs out of her room and asks daughter "what's your email address, he's on the phone right now!" daughter is like "WHAT?!" daughter grudgingly gives the email address to mother. daughter is starting to think mother is unbelievable. mother is her pimp. mother picked-up this guy for daughter, and many other thoughts run across daughter's head. is daughter really that much a lost cause?

later on that day, mother mentioned she has set-up a dinner to have daughter meet the guy on monday. luckily, daughter has plans.

my niece london (soon to be 3) has become really sick again. she's in for another round of testing tomorrow with the hemotologist at UCLA. poor girl has gone through a really tough year and still, doctors can't find out what is wrong with her.
i hope she is well enough for her b-day party on saturday. her 2 fave cartoons characters are coming to visit her: dora the explorer (ghetto amateur) and cassie from dragon tales (professional).
please pray for london's healing, my sister's family, the bun in the oven, and for protection against spiritual warfare.

i had a very interesting test. i never have seen a test like it. the test was consisted of situation questions that were multiple choice. gwarsh, i hope i did decent. i crammed 5 chapters of marketing definitions in my head for the past 2 days. i have already forgot 50% of them. i actually made a nU fwiend by sharing my textbook, giving a 1 minute review session, and giving my coveted scantron sheet away. i'm always happy to help one in need! i am starting to think how marketing works with graphic design...wowzers, the things i learn from school!

could my life get any worst? it's almost as crazy as last semester!

this week's rantings:
- heart pain increased, went to the doc. got high dosage of motrin. yea rite that's going to work. we'll see in 2 weeks. the pills make me kinda dizzy. hah.
- i realized i have a test every week in my marketing class. AND to top it off, i don't have my textbook yet. :( mine won't arrive till next week and the student bookstore is fresh out. :O i'm making creative choices on how to obtain a textbook. i'm going to wake up tomorrow at 7am to go to the dang library at canada college to hunt the reserved book down and make copies of 7 chapters!!! $$$$
- i gotta stop wasting time! i've gotta try to study for scary tests, work, and make my summer goals. woe is me.
- i am making a wig to be dora the explorer for my niece's bday this weekend. it's not turning out as well as i thought it would... it's going to take another 2 hours. sigh. how do i get myself in these situations? oh yea, i'm a pushover. :P

ok, those are my rants, that's it (for now). still gotta do the youth room stuff and t-shirt. why can't ppl be nice and help me? sniff.
summer sure ain't relaxing as i thought it'd be. i am definitely going to take a vacation after my summer school ends! Anyone want to join me? i wanna be outta here 8/18-8/23 (right before school starts up again, sigh.). where could i go? hm...

anyone have any studying hints/advice? HELP ME. i dunno how to study no more.

the midwest
i spent 5 days in the midwest. this was the longest i've spent there since i moved outta there! what did i do? saturday i walked aimlessly around chicago while my friend spent 3 hours at the hospital just to get her bandages changed. dumb ER ppls. :P chicago has 2 h&m's! i made it out with nothing in my hand. big pat on my back there. i was saving-up for some tax-free shopping in MN. heh heh. for the first time, i had a chicago hot dog at portillo's. everyone should visit portillo's! it's SO GOOD and has cool ambience. i also had semi-chicago style pizza. it was a shorter chicago-style pizza made with a beer and intentionally burnt crust. it was surprisingly good but $$. I made it out of chicago without having to spend too much money. i spent a total of $16! thanks karen!

i left chitown bright and early on sunday to MN, i ended up visiting good ol' friends and hanging-out with relatives. a few of the cousins and i ventured out to la crosse, WISCONSIN. my cousin had a job prospect there and wanted to check out this hecka small town. it was pretty but SMALL!! there was even a drive-in restaurant where the waitresses wore rollerskates! to add to the 6 hours of driving in our one day road trip, it was HECKA HOT! 92 degrees and HUMID. can we say i was complaining about the weather all day long?! :p i've been very spoiled by the CA weather. heh heh. i made it out of MN with NO mosquito bites! woo HOO!!

this lil trip was all good. i had a great time with family 'n friends. i made it out of the midwest spending ~$100 and with free flights!

payback time!
o yea! i finally got arex back on his april fool's joke. i'll spare the gory details. i'm no gloater like him. :P i used the same exact technique he did. mUhwahaaa!

summer hiatus
so like, i've been on summer vacation. hence, the sparse blogging. i am in process of uploading my pics from this past week's travels and activities. i'll let you know when they're up.

i got my grades from the semester and i passed! altho, i'm still waiting for my grade change from fall to change in the school system...
i have hecka a lot more white hairs from this past semester. it's so sad. good thing they are hidden! xP

my summer break is done...it's back to the grind tomorrow. i'm taking a marketing class. let's hope i can pass this one.
