Spirit West Coast '05

me really likes: bldg 429, chris tomlin, & jeremy camp. they were all really good performers and kept the crowd excited. SWC was awesome! this is the 2nd major concert i have ever been to. it was really cool to work for amy too. we got a priority parking pass, free admission, bleacher seats on thurs, and free lunch/dinner! a value of $99! i hope i can go again next year. you can see pics here.

sending off my mac to get a new LCD. i will have to part with it for 5-7 days. sniff. this also means that i won't be able to work on my thesis. eeks. wat shall i do with all this free time? :P well, i'm off to monterey for 2 days of fun at spirit west coast. yay yay!

doy and i are heading to spirit west coast in monterey from this wed-thurs to help mrs. aimee lou lee! i finally get to see a few of my fave christian singers/bands: Building 429, Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp (!), and MercyMe! can you tell that i am excited??!! yipeee!

nothing makes me happier than acquiring a new cook/baking book that i had my eye on. it so happend that i was at borders and janet had a 30% off coupon. i think it was fate. ;P this book has the right combination of photos, recipe simplicity, and ingredients. i appreciate a nicely designed book. heh heh.

after 10 hours, the serengeti sunset for VBS was complete. don't ask why it took so long...i'll just say we ran into some material problems. :P
check out the crazy jeep that was made complete with a ping pong ball stick shift and exhaust pipe. boys will be boys...

i finally gave in to starsuck's summer ad and bought a mint mocha chip frappuccino. i'm giving you a warning: don't buy it! it's so nasty. my dad and i shared a grande and we had to add 2 cups of water/ice to the drink cuz it was so sweet. the chip chunks are an added gross factor. morale of the story: stick to plain frappuccinos.

has anyone seen or read war of the worlds? please let me know. not that it was that profound or anything but the birds and red roots confused me. can u believe i actually watched it? that's what happens when it's 2 vs. 1. :/

travel bug

i'm back from san diego and it is an awesome place! perfect weather and close by the beaches. the trip itself was...well i kinda wish i had different company. it's not fun being made fun of every day about the same thing. i was constantly annoyed to the point i was counting each day off. to top it off, i was rewarded with a fever and currently recovering. i think i need a magic travel pill... at least i'm home for a couple weeks.

just found out that i have NO more free flights! that kills my chicago/mn plans. sorry O.F.'s! i knew my free flights were too much of a good thing to last this long.
that means i will actually be around for another weekend in july. half dome: 7/23, anyone? :P

i've had a flurry of activities for the past week with b-day and 4th celebrations. it's time for me to slow down. i had a chance to start this morning at stanford hills listening to jeremy camp and enjoying the morning. :) thesis? um, yeah, i will need to start that up again for the next 2 days. then i will be off to san diego! i can't wait. i have a feeling i'm gonna love it there so much that i will want to move there. SD seems perfect...the beach, weather, housing prices lower, closer to my nieces and nephew, and it's still CA! ahh, the sun and beach...i love summah!
