has anyone seen or read war of the worlds? please let me know. not that it was that profound or anything but the birds and red roots confused me. can u believe i actually watched it? that's what happens when it's 2 vs. 1. :/

i'm confused by the red roots too! why do they grow and why was there blood spraying everywhere?
I read the book a year ago. I haven't watched the movie yet. I believe the red roots indicate the Martian plants transplanted to earth. That's all. I don't know about the blood.
