a & g studios, office move, and killer canker sore

spent quite a few hours at a & g studios working on my pfolio. i can say that they are the best guys on earth! i can't believe how great the editing, photos, and prints turned-out. i am in awe of epson printer/photo paper. i hope to get my pfolio done by this weekend. thank you sooo much a & g (anyone notice a & g=a ng?:P)!

this week, thus far, has been interesting. there was an office move and the "sales & marketing" dept is all together now. i get to share a window office w/ a part-time coworker. i get along great w/ my office pal. we swap baking recipes, tales, and the goods. too bad the phone ringing incessantly is driving me batty. during the process of the moving/dept re-organizing, a good coworker friend has resigned. many of us are quite sad. sigh, work life must go on...

i have a killer canker sore from the depths of nowhere for more than a week! it feels like it's getting worst. must apply vitamin A, hydrogen peroxide, or something!! is this thing ever going to disappear?? ack, i need some r&r! :)

i'm wondering if anything good at all is going to happen to me this week. i must write some happy thoughts!

k-ok, biking, downtown sj in the dark, and taebo

TGIF! gee, i couldn't wait till friday to come last week. it was badly needed although i was out for a day. we had a nice surprise for two b-day gals that were serenaded from the guys. hm...who came up with that idea? ;) surprisingly, it turned out pretty good! later on, we cranked-up my old school k-ok machine and got good use out of it till midnite. we shall use that again in about another 10 years.

saturday was a wonderful day in the neighborhood (in mem. of mr. rogers). i finally made good use of the day and went biking to stanford. a very pleasant 15 min. ride to the beautiful campus. saw a few brides and grooms on their wedding day at the chapel. funny point in the ride was that miss. j was close to running over someone. ha ha. must do this more often and use those certain ah hem, muscles more often so i won't be sore.

later that nite...a few of us went on an impromptu adventure to downtown sj. saw the not so giant monopoly board and was frightened by animal statues. ended the nite with some jazz.

sunday was family nite. yes, i was being a good lil' daughter. my goal for this week (sml grp!). after a nice heavy chinese dinner, i asked my parents if they wanted to try taebo. heh heh. i think i spent half of the time cracking-up watching my parents. i was trying to give pointers to my pa and he exclaimed "try this when you're 65 yrs old!" that made me wonder...will i be doing this at age 65 with my kids? heh heh. i sure hope i will look better than my pa and ma executing those kicks and punches.;)

monday started off with a mtg. right now, i am groggily trying to wake-up! those wheels are slowly turning.

look out for mad skiier, evicted, frappucinos, dumplings, and tigers!

on friday we canaan folks ventured up to the great white mts. of tahoe. i got to go skiing for the first time in 2 yrs. let's say i have minimal ski experience but can pick it up pretty fast. it's interesting how fast one can go on skis and crash if one is not paying attention to control themselves. i learned that all too quickly by rolling down a run that i chose by accident. it turned out to be part of a black diamond. that was the start of the ski day. i was pretty disappointed by falling so much. later in the afternoon i was justified by remembering to control myself and use those leg muscles. i had a good time at the end but still a little out of control b/c 1) i wanted to go fast! 2) somehow my contacts were blinding me by the wind. all in all, it was fun and next time i shall concentrate on my form.

sat. nite we left early from tahoe b/c we were "evicted". long story short- we had too many ppls in a cabin and neighbors complained. argh, neighbors, grumble grumble...had a nice car ride back stopping at mel's diner in placerville. had a salty open-faced turkey sandwich. i finally arrived home around midnite. btw: no more frappuccinos for a certain someone! that led to a very memorable ride. ;)

dumpling mania: last nite a few of us got together to make a meal for friends that just had a baby. after making about 150+ dumplings we got the message that our friends did not need food anymore. we ate our hearts content on all these dumplings that we cooked 4 times (boil, pan fry, microwave, boil) b/c someone was complaining that the meat was still pink. voila! rubber dumplings! we still ate pink meat and we are alive today! the best part of the evening was guy J saying "i'm a tiger! ROAR!". then guy B had this disgusted/surprised/confused look making guy J laugh w/ green onion bits coming out of his nose. wat a foto opp. ahh..these precious moments. we spent about 20 mins rolling on the floor with laughter. no need for sit-ups this week. 10pm came around and alas, we were finished making our dumplings. sleepy time.

note: i have been too lazy to blog lately. my apologies to those who actually read it. i promise myself to blog at least once a week. more adventures to come...
