island fever

i've only been in kauai for 5 days and i can't wait to go home. 10 more days...i really don't know how my dad can stand working in the fields all the time. it's so dang hot and there's nasty surprises in the corn. one surprise was a huge caterpillar hiding in the corn ear waiting for me to find it. i am finding myself becoming used to these pleasant surprises. bleh. my days so far have been waking up at 6am, start working at 7am, eat lunch at 11am, hit the fields at 12pm and come home by 3pm. after, i've been amusing my dad by playing tennis with his buddies. it's amazing how much tennis i've played, 3 times already! that's more than i played last year. :P i can tell how old my body is getting by the soreness in my back, hands, elbow, knee, etc... how sad. i haven't made it to the beach yet but i get to see it every day. hopefully i'll go at least once and may take a dip in it this time. 10 more days!!! my sanity is waning. i keep telling myself the reasons why i'm in kauai: spending time w/ my pops and have a working vacation.

btw: don't watch anchorman. it's stupid as heck. that's small town movies for ya. hopefully there's a better movie this weekend in the one screen theater.

lastly, yes, worm turds are still in my thumb nails. i think they stained my skin. hah!
